But first, what does plant-based mean anyway?
No, it doesn’t mean replacing all of your meat with meat alternatives. The definition of plant-based is “(of food or a diet) consisting largely or solely of vegetables, grains, pulses, or other foods derived from plants, rather than animal products.” Think whole grains, legumes, fruits and veggies.
