OK, so it’s not like any of us are going out to dinners or attending parties or engaging in any of our typical social engagements. Instead, we are spending more and more time virtually connecting via FaceTime, Zoom and Google Hangouts. Now is the time to let that skin shine! Bye bye makeup, hello FaceTime ready skin.

We’ve gathered five of our favorite DIY face mask recipes that you can create from the safety of your own home. #StayHome and #StayFresh!

#1: Exfoliating Face Mask

If your skin needs some polishing, opt for this exfoliator. The natural fruit acids in pineapple naturally (but gently!) remove dead skin cells.

2 tablespoons avocado

1 teaspoon fresh pineapple juice

1 teaspoon raw honey

2 tablespoons unsweetened coconut, shredded

Use a fork to mash the avocado until smooth. Stir in pineapple juice, honey and coconut shreds. Apply a thin layer to skin, avoiding the eye area. Let sit for 10 minutes before using gentle, circular motions to exfoliate dead skin cells. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

#2: Calming Face Mask

This skin-soothing mask works best for fighting inflammation. Pro tip from the American Academy of Dermatology, dry skin often has a high pH and oatmeal can help stabilize it.

1/2 cup hot water

1/3 cup oatmeal

2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt

2 tablespoon honey

1 small egg white

Mix oatmeal and hot water together, then let sit for two minutes. Mix in the rest of the ingredients, combining well. Apply a thin layer to face. Wash off after 15 minutes.

#3: Protecting Face Mask

Seasonal weather changes can lead to dull, tired looking skin. Try this mask for protection and tightening. Plus, the protein in the egg white helps to remove excess oil!

1 egg white

1 tablespoon honey

Mix both ingredients together, and once combined, lather onto your face, avoiding the eye area. Leave the face mask on until it begins to tighten and then rinse away with water.

1 teaspoon orange peel powder

1/2 teaspoon turmeric

1 teaspoon honey

Mix ingredients to create a paste. Brush it on your face and let dry for 10 minutes. Rinse well with water.
