Hey, Spoon Crew. We know these are stressful and uncertain times, but want to remind you that we are a community and here for you. We put together one big guide for those of you at home right now. It’s our favorite memes, recipes, arts & crafts, board games, books, music and a lot more.

Remember to stay calm, wash those hands, eat regularly (and nutritiously) and stay in touch with your community, even when self quarantining.

These made us laugh:

To deal with anxiety and stress:

We know this is a stressful time. But, it’s important to remain calm, stress is not good for your immune system.

How to work from home and not go insane:

We know it can be tough to stay motivated and connected to your colleagues while working from home. Check out the New York Times’ top tips from staying engaged while not in the office.

Staying healthy with food:

Eating more fruits and veggies is a fact-based approach to boosting your immune system. And while you’re home, you can enjoy a little more time and mindfulness around your cooking and eating:

Stay updated but take breaks:

  • Take breaks from watching or reading the news. Call up a friend or family member, use FaceTime! Chat about something other than COVID-19.
  • However, do educate yourself on the real facts of the situation. You can find updated, factual information here.
  • Try to keep some normalcy: If you have children, and they are not in school, create a regular schedule for learning, morning circle, recess and take a lunch break.
  • Get some exercise, talk a walk outside, here’s a list of free online workout classes.

Music that’s making us 😀:

Time to do that arts & crafts project you’ve been putting off:

Had enough of your work email? Binge watched enough Netflix? Break out the finger paint, scissors and glue! Here are some fun projects to keep you entertained.

And one of our favorites: Color Therapy (inspired by designer Tanya Taylor)

Grab paints and a piece of painting paper or a canvas (if you have one). Pour yourself a nice cup of tea (or wine, if you’re in that mood). Relax, play some music, smile.

Ask yourself the following statements/questions, one by one, and respond by painting for 1 minute with the color that comes to mind when you answer the question.

  • Let loose! Paint, splatter, splat - it doesn’t matter.
  • Your first kiss.
  • What was the most recent meal you cooked?
  • A memorable sunrise.
  • Your hometown.
  • A recent date (romantic or friendly).
  • Fave dessert.
  • Working out.
  • What is your favorite song?
  • Mom.
  • Dogs.
  • What color represents you?
  • Dad.
  • Fashion / style.

Hang that art piece proudly somewhere. It truly is color therapy and represents YOU.
