Here at Splendid Spoon, we’re so excited for the holiday season. Chilly weather, cozy sweaters, seasonal ingredients, family gatherings, and sweets galore. We know it can get stressful trying to stick to your health goals during this busy, treat-filled time. That’s why we teamed up with Madeline (@themaddiemiles), one of our lovely ambassadors, to bring you three easy Splendid Spoon meal hacks to add some plant-based goodness to your dinner table this holiday season.

Ras El Hanout Buckwheat Stuffed Carnival Squash
What you’ll need:
- Splendid Spoon Ras El Hanout Buckwheat Bowl
- 1 Carnival Squash
- Optional: Olive oil, salt, and pepper
Directions:
1. Set your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Rinse and dry your squash.
3. Cut the top of the squash off.
4. Place squash into an oven-safe casserole dish lined with parchment paper.
5. Cook for 45 minutes or until squash is cooked on the inside but firm on the outside.
6. Heat your Splendid Spoon bowl in the microwave, as directed on the packaging.
7. Fill squash with Splendid Spoon.
8. Enjoy!
Mashed Potatoes with Split Pea "Gravy"
What you’ll need:
- Splendid Spoon Green Split Pea Soup
- 1 C Water
- 1-2 potatoes (we suggest Russets or Yukon Golds)
- Salt and Pepper
- Optional: Olive oil and garlic or garlic powder
Directions:
1. Wash and peel your potato. Add 1 C of water to your instant pot and insert the steaming rack. Place your potato in, seal, and set on high pressure for 15 minutes.
2. Once done, transfer your cooked potato into a food processor to create a mashed potato mixture. (Optional: add a drizzle of alive oil and garlic or garlic powder, to taste)
3. Season with salt and pepper if desired.
4. Heat your Splendid Spoon soup in the microwave, as directed on the packaging.
5. Transfer your mashed potatoes to a plate and top with Splendid Spoon split pea as you would with gravy.
Pumpkin Pie Creamsicles
What you’ll need:
- Splendid Spoon Pumpkin Spice Smoothie
- Freezer popsicle molds
Directions:
1. Pour your Splendid Spoon Pumpkin Spice smoothie into your popsicle molds.
2. Place the molds into the freezer and freeze for at least 6 hours.
3. Remove from molds and enjoy for dessert!
